Pioneers of Alternative Data

Qaisar has a nearly 30 year career spanning investment research, portfolio management and data science. In addition to founding and running Maiden Century, Qaisar was more recently a portfolio manager at Lombard Odier Asset Management (LOAM). Prior to LOAM, Qaisar worked at Point72 for five years as a portfolio manager.

Don is responsible for all aspects of business development. Don started on Wall Street as an institutional salesperson at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. In 2003 he was one of the early employees at a startup called Majestic Research where he became the first data sales person on the Street. Majestic is credited with pioneering the use of alternative data for investors.

Saba has over a decade of experience in diverse areas of the law. She is a trained Barrister from the UK, Advocate of the High Court in Pakistan, and a New York law licensed Attorney. In the past, she practiced as a Banking and Finance Attorney at Clifford Chance, served as General Counsel and Company Secretary at a leading financial start-up in Pakistan, and headed the corporate practice at the law firm Heilbut LLP.

Gene is an adjunct professor at NYU, where he has developed and teaches an alternative data curriculum. Previously, he founded AltDG and worked in alternative data at Point72, Balyasny Asset Management, Lone Pine, 1010 Data, Majestic Research, Yodlee and others. He holds a degree in Artificial Intelligence from U.C. Berkeley, an MBA from Cornell University, and is a CFA charter holder.

Mark is a veteran commercial executive with deep roots in equity research and data stemming from his experience as the former head of sales at M Science, one of the largest alternative data vendors in the market. He also held notable sales leadership positions at InsiderScore (Verity), Majestic Research, ITG Investment Research, and M Science (Jefferies) helping guide each entity through successful acquisitions, respectively.

Bob brings over 18 years of experience in institutional equities and spent the last four years as Director of Data Analytics Sales at Envestnet|Yodlee. His deep rooted relationships within the institutional investment management space speak to his strong investment acumen and passion, as well as his ability to help clients get the most out of Maiden Century's various offerings.

Michael joined Maiden Century in December 2022 after earning a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Columbia University. Michael is responsible for maximizing the value of Maiden Century's offerings for clients. Prior to going back to school for his Master’s degree, Michael spent 10 years as a Senior Equity Analyst at CastleArk Management in Chicago.

Jack has spent over a decade building & selling Alternative Data products, ranging from Transactions (1010data) to Geolocation (Credit Suisse) and anything in between. He is responsible for managing & growing MC's Data Partner ecosystem. When not spending time with his growing family (or out on the golf course), Jacks passion is helping data providers leverage their assets to tell compelling stories that resonate with the world's leading data buyers.
